American Slang – “Holy”

In this American Slang lesson, I teach you the slang “holy”.


Vocabulary

“Holy” means godly / blessed / saintlike
It’s used to show surprise or shock. It means “wow”.

Sentences

Holy Cow
Holy Smokes
Holy Shit

All of these mean “wow“.

It’s important to note this can be very offensive to some people, because holy is a kind of a religious word.

I’m NOT recommending you use this language.
The point is for you to KNOW it.

This slang is used a lot, so it is important for you to know what this means.
